Energy renovation of a residential building in Geneva

This project is part of an ambitious energy renovation program aimed at extending the life of a residential building while significantly improving its comfort and energy performance. The work focuses on several key areas: replacing the heating system, modernizing the horizontal and vertical distribution systems, and installing solar thermal and photovoltaic panels to promote the building's energy independence.

Particular attention has been paid to insulation, both in the roof and on the terrace and under the ground floor, in order to reduce heat loss. The windows have been replaced to ensure better energy performance and increased acoustic comfort. At the same time, the ten apartments have been completely renovated, along with a careful refurbishment of the common areas.

The unique feature of this project is that it is being carried out on an occupied site: the work is being carried out while the building remains inhabited, requiring careful organization and constant dialogue with residents in order to limit disruption and ensure safety. The project also includes bringing the facilities into compliance with fire safety standards.

This renovation represents a concrete response to the challenges of sustainability and urban comfort. It illustrates the desire to reconcile heritage enhancement, energy performance, and residents' quality of life.
