RENOVATION OF A LISTED FLAT
The preservation of listed buildings and their flats is of vital importance to our architectural and cultural heritage. These buildings are living witnesses to our history, our collective identity and the skills of yesteryear. Protecting and restoring them not only preserves the architectural memory of an era, but also enriches our current living environment by providing spaces with a unique character, in contrast to contemporary architecture.
According to the standards of the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects (SIA) and the directives of the Commission des Monuments, Sites et Antiquités (CMNS), the renovation and preservation of listed buildings must be carried out with rigour and respect. These standards impose precise methods and specific materials to ensure that the work remains faithful to the original spirit of the building. They also define quality standards that ensure the durability of the restoration work and the historical integrity of the buildings. Preserving listed buildings and their flats in accordance with these standards thus contributes to enriching our common heritage, encouraging responsible architecture and passing on to future generations the cultural legacy of which we are the custodians.
Before renovation
Our expertise in heritage renovation is based on a respectful and innovative approach, aimed at breathing new life into spaces while preserving their historic soul. Before the renovation, the flat we transformed had a dark, partitioned layout, with materials worn by time. Period details were poorly highlighted, and the space seemed frozen in another era, lacking harmony with today's standards of comfort.
After renovation
After our intervention, this space was transformed into a bright, open space, where the heritage features were carefully restored and reinterpreted. Each intervention was designed to celebrate the past while meeting contemporary demands for comfort and aesthetics, transforming this flat into a vibrant example of successful heritage renovation.
