HOSPITALITY
Study for a building in an exceptional location on the outskirts of Geneva
The project is based on PLQ data, which provides favourable scope for reorganising the built environment. It proposes the insertion of a new architectural complex structured around the large tree-lined avenue, reinforced by a new, clearly identified entrance. The historic complex is preserved and enhanced, while the new buildings are located on either side of the main landscaped axis, in an L-shaped layout that complements the views of the Jura mountains and the lake.
The landscaping project organises the spaces of the estate into a clear sequence: agricultural park, reception courtyard, terrace and walking park, while removing surface parking in favour of high-quality outdoor facilities. The uses are clearly defined and can be organised into independent or unified entities according to programmatic needs.
The project aims to set an example in terms of energy efficiency in accordance with the THPE 2000 W standard, based on 100% renewable energy, high-performance geothermal energy and an optimised thermal envelope, incorporating a mixed wood-concrete structure that ensures comfort, durability and energy efficiency.
